CROW, MARCUS JOHN, 38, BLAIRSVILLE, PA

died Friday, December 25, 2009 at his home. He was born April 22, 1971 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Raymond Balint and Denise Siwik. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville, PA where he was a lay minister. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club. He served in the US Marines during Desert Storm. Marcus enjoyed his music, hunting, playing solitaire, gardening and canning. He also enjoyed talking on facebook and spending time with his son, Calvin. He was a master technician, having formerly worked at Tri-Star and Kenny Ross Ford. He is survived by his mother, Denise Siwik

Eric Snell

January 18th, 2009 to June 18th, 2007

Eric Lamar Snell   

Sgt. Snell attended Ireland Private School,
McGalliard Elementary School, and Grice
Middle School and graduated from Hamilton
High West in 1989.
He was a member of the
Hamilton Little Lads, Hamilton PAL, the American
Legion, Babe Ruth League, Hamilton Township
Recreation Program, flag football, baseball,
track and basketball. 

Sgt. Snell was the 54th
draft pick by the Cleveland Indians and later
decided to play for Old Dominion University in
Norfolk, Va.
He later enrolled and graduated
from Trenton State College in 1994. His
professional baseball team affiliations included
the New Jersey Pilots in the Atlantic City
Baseball League.

He also was a male model in
New York and later was employed with Glorious
Foods Catering Company of New York and AT&T
Wireless Services. Sgt. Snell joined the Army in
2005, and graduated as a cavalry scout from
Fort Knox, Ky.
He was assigned to 3/61 Cavalry
Squadron, 2nd Brigade Combat Team and Fort
Carson, Colo. In 2006, he deployed to Iraq in
support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sgt. Snell
served honorably and received several awards
and decorations, including the Bronze Star
Medal, the Purple Heart and the Army
Commendation Medal.

Surviving are two sons,
Shameer Horton of Hamilton, and Khalil
Young-Snell of Union; his father, Arthur L. Snell
(Maria) of Mount Holly, and his mother, Mittie
White of Trenton; a sister, Alaina Snell of
Hamilton; nephew, Adonai Broach of Hamilton,
and his dog, Moocha, and a host of uncles,
aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
 
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the
Eric L. Snell Memorial Fund at Sovereign Bank,
Hamilton Little Lads Baseball Association, Babe
Ruth Baseball Association, American Legion
Baseball Association, Hamilton PAL Baseball
Association and Hamilton Township Recreation
Program.

Cassandra *Candy" Taylor


Born in Macon, Ga., Cassandra had been a resident of Hamilton for most of her life.

She was a 1989 graduate of Hamilton High West and formerly had been employed by Jamesway.

Cassandra is survived by her daughter, Casey Taylor; her parents, James and Carrie Taylor; a brother, Anthony Kornegay; her maternal grandmother, Claudia Gibson; seven aunts, Mary Gibson of Macon, Sally Fields of Flint, Mich., Gladys Gadsen (Jakie) of Florida, Gloria Stanley (E.T.), Robbie Robinson (Milton) of Bolling Brook, Ga., Rosemary Williams (Roosevelt) of Juliet, Ga., and Virginia Story of Macon; four uncles, Melvin Taylor (Dorothy), Isaiah Gibson, Kenneth Gibson and William Gibson (Sue); a great-aunt, Ary Lundy; and a host of cousins and friends.

Calling hours are tomorrow (April 27) from 5-7 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton.

Final services will be held on Saturday (April 29) at Freeman Funeral Home, 26 Brentwood St. Forsyth, GA 31029.

Interment will be in the James Rest Gardens in Forsyth.
